I wrote previously about Solar Trees by Ross Lovegrove. One of most beautiful ecological object ever produced. As Solar Trees are on the streets of Europe, new version is in progress. This time branches that will follow the sun, escaping the shadow and achieving much higher efficiency.
Truly amazing. Excuse me, my Local Council, when we will have these in my street?

Tata Nano is seen as affordable small car available to large number of people in India or China. Then maybe on the west too. But as all other “green” technology is review – is Nano really green or another Earth-killing product?

I must admit that I am big supporter of hemp industry. As my latest favorite cloth is made from hemp. Great jeans and shirts. Very soft, tick and pleasant to wear. Now new fashion coming is to create building material from hemp.
Check it out, story from TreeHugger

This lovely concept of car powered by compressed air is known in France for years. Unfortunately it’s not yet available for commercial purchase. But now concept is being introduced to US and on office website, promised is that first models will be shipped in late 2009 and 2010. This vehicle that runs on air, achieves over 100 gas-equivalent mpg and over 90 mph, has zero to low C02 emissions, seats six, has plenty of space for luggage, cuts no safety corners, and costs no more than an average economy to mid-size vehicle. Looking at specifications this car offer and very low price – I hope it will arrive soon in Australia too.
Only one question – is air-condition included?

As currently I am big fan of tennis, watching my Serbs winning on Australian Open. That is good reminder that even tennis equipment can be environment friendly. So, here is one idea – buy some bamboo socks. They feel great, believe me. Here is a link

Funkiest gadget this Christmas must be new Sony ODO camera. Roll big green wheel on this camera and recharge it for your new paparazzi shot. 15 seconds of ‘spinning’ will charge enough for 1 shot. So keep rolling. Of course to save power camera lacks display, but it’s a good start for a new concept. I hope Sony will create gadget to connect ODO to my car wheel, so I can charge it in full on my way to work. Easy.
